New Beginnings

Senior Care Partners Foundation:

A New Chapter in Caring for Seniors

Every day, our team has the privilege of serving seniors throughout East Tennessee. We celebrate their milestones, support them through difficult diagnoses, and help them navigate the challenges that often come with aging. Along the way, we have witnessed something that continues to inspire us: the resilience, wisdom, and dignity of the people we serve.

We have also witnessed the barriers many seniors face.

At times, the challenge is getting to a medical appointment or obtaining needed supplies and equipment. It may be social isolation, caregiver strain, or financial hardship that makes an already difficult situation even harder. Sometimes it is choosing between dinner and prescriptions, or the struggle to manage aging in a world that moves too fast. These challenges impact health and quality of life, and they cannot always be addressed in a medical visit alone.

Senior Care Partners opened its doors in 2012 with a vision of improving care for our aging population. Dr. Teresa Catron believed that caring for older adults required more than a quick office visit. She understood that true healthcare must address medical, social, emotional, and practical needs together.

Together with Mary Walker, NP, she built a practice grounded in one principle: meet patients where they are and provide the care they need. What began as a small practice has grown into a team serving seniors across multiple care settings throughout East Tennessee, united by a commitment to compassionate, comprehensive care.

Over time, we have continued to see needs that extend beyond traditional healthcare—transportation challenges, caregiver stress, and families struggling to balance basic needs with medical care.

The Senior Care Partners Foundation was created to help bridge that gap.

Today, we are proud to announce the launch of the Senior Care Partners Foundation—a nonprofit dedicated to supporting seniors so they can live safely, comfortably, and with dignity in their homes and communities.

Through community partnerships, fundraising efforts, and donor support, the Foundation works to address unmet needs that affect older adults in East Tennessee. Our goal is to help seniors remain safe, connected, independent, and supported.

As we begin this journey, we will focus on areas where small interventions can make a meaningful difference in daily life—reducing isolation, supporting caregivers, and connecting seniors with essential resources.

This Foundation is a natural extension of our work at Senior Care Partners. Caring for seniors has always been at the center of what we do, and this allows us to extend that care beyond the exam room.

We believe meaningful change happens when communities come together. We invite patients, families, community partners, healthcare professionals, and friends to join us in this effort. Together, we can make a lasting difference for seniors throughout East Tennessee.

In the coming months, we will share more about programs, volunteer opportunities, and ways to get involved. For now, we are excited to share this mission and invite you to our kickoff celebration: (insert link).

Thank you for believing in this work and for helping us build a future where seniors can age with dignity, comfort, and connection.

Because caring for seniors is more than healthcare—it is the foundation of our community.
