About Senior Care Partners Foundation
The Senior Care Partners Foundation was created from a simple belief: every senior deserves the opportunity to age with dignity, comfort, and support in the place they call home. Senior Care Partners began in 2012 with the goal of meeting the needs of our aging population. Dr. Teresa Catron and Mary Walker, NP, recognized a need in Blount County for healthcare focused specifically on seniors and the unique challenges that come with aging.
What began as a small practice serving seniors in local facilities has grown into a network of providers serving patients in facilities, clinics, and homes throughout East Tennessee. Today, Senior Care Partners serves patients across multiple counties, but the mission remains unchanged: to meet seniors where they are and provide the care they need.
As the practice grew, so did our understanding of the challenges facing the seniors we serve. While providing medical care, we witnessed firsthand the barriers many older adults encounter every day—barriers that affect health, independence, and quality of life but often fall outside the reach of traditional healthcare services.
The Senior Care Partners Foundation was established to help bridge that gap.
Our Story
What We Do
The Foundation exists to support seniors and their caregivers by addressing needs that often go unmet through traditional healthcare systems.
Our efforts include:
Supporting access to essential resources and services
Assisting seniors with unmet quality-of-life needs
Promoting independence and aging in place
Reducing social isolation and increasing community connection
Supporting caregivers and families
Developing programs that enhance the well-being of older adults
As our organization grows, we will continue to identify opportunities where meaningful assistance can make a lasting impact.
Why it Matters
Every day, we care for seniors who helped build the communities we call home. They raised families, worked our farms and factories, served in our churches, taught in our schools, and cared for their neighbors. They shaped East Tennessee into the place we know today.
As they age, many encounter obstacles that threaten their independence, well-being, and quality of life. Sometimes those challenges are financial. Sometimes they are physical. Sometimes they are simply the result of navigating a world that moves faster than it once did.
We believe our seniors deserve more.
By bringing together healthcare professionals, community partners, volunteers, donors, churches, businesses, and advocates, we can create practical solutions that help older adults remain safe, connected, independent, and supported.
Join Us
Meaningful change happens when communities come together.
East Tennessee has always been defined by neighbors helping neighbors. As Tennesseans, we understand the importance of community, service, and showing up when others need us. Those values are woven into who we are, and they are at the heart of the Senior Care Partners Foundation.
We know that support can take many forms, and we are grateful for every person who chooses to become part of this mission.
Whether you choose to volunteer, donate, attend an event, become a community partner, or simply help spread awareness, you are helping create a future where seniors can age with dignity, confidence, and the support they deserve.
Together, we can ensure that the seniors who spent their lives caring for our communities receive the compassion, resources, and assistance they need to continue living safely and comfortably at home.
Because caring for seniors is more than healthcare—it is the foundation of our community.
